DOH Part 2

DOH budget consideration suspended: After about 29 majority members had expressed interest in questioning the Department of Health (DOH), Deputy Minority Leader Percival “Perci” Cendaña said he had been slated to ask questions in the minority’s second round and moved to suspend consideration of the DOH’s proposed budget, citing members’ wish to raise further issues with DOH officials. Rep. Albert S. Garcia stated that the motion had been seconded and specified resumption for Monday, September 7, at a time to be set by the Chair. With no objection, Garcia declared the motion approved.

General Appropriations Bill hearing suspended: Rep. Maria Angela S. Garcia moved to suspend the broader committee hearing on House Bill No. 10858 at Ramualdez Hall until September 3, 2026, at 9 a.m. Rep. Percival “Perci” Cendaña seconded the motion. With no objection, the presiding committee chair, Rep. Albert S. Garcia, declared the hearing suspended until that time.
